Thanks Charlie, as always you do such a fine job posting the shows or meets. I'll send you the pic's from Norm's layout from last week as soon as DTE stores power. The transformer blew this A.M. as I was leaving for the show. And a thanks go out to Kim, for his help in making a l-o-n-g military train. The kids watching counted 33 flats. It was fun.

I had fun pulling that military train with my GG1. Never thought to count the cars, but I think they filled up a whole 48' side of the layout and then some. I heard a lot of compliments about it.
As always, it was a lot of fun.
Fun yes and I don't think we had any pile ups today. That makes it a good day.
Hey Charlie, I somehow missed hearing about that show - but I wouldn't have made it anyway with the 16" of heavy wet snow that fell here Friday night. Our power went out at 10 PM Friday and was just restored this afternoon. The news says there are still 35,000 customers without power up here, and it'll be Wednesday before it's all back.
Anyway, looks like the layout is growing. I like that Hudson's department store with the US flag - brings back memories.

Thank you, Charlie.....that was great........a 31 car military train.......with all the die cast loads, that's got to be like a 45-50 car train of regular rolling stock!

It was definitely a heavy train. My GG1 was real warm when I pulled it off the layout. Sure looked great though
You guys have an absolutely great layout.....Running trains at shows is loads of fun and you guys have done a great job displaying O Gauge!
What is its dimensions and what are your curve minimums on the corners?
Peter
Lucas has some nice fixed pilot Geeps running. Nice job Lucas!
I think he should leave the C&O units as is and then run them back and forth by a model of Bode's Corned Beef House.
Charlie,
Thanks, you guys put together a great layout for shows.

Yes, they were nice. I had fun playing with the powered unit in the yard area while demonstrating the transfer table (along with my SD80MAC). I think his plan is to leave them as C&O, but I'm not completely sure.
I tweaked the smoke unit a bit for him towards the end of the show and it was working pretty well when I left.
O-84 is the outside curve? I was watching the scale GG-1 navigate the layout. Even on O-84 it has pretty impressing overhang.
I know I was running the G on the inner track, O-60. I can't remember if I ran it on the outer track or not, but it still does have quite a bit overhang. I don't know if the inside curves (leading up to the bridge) are the same diameters as the regular corners.
O-84 is the outside curve, O-60 is the inner curve.
Excellent video Charlie, love those military loads!
This was when you were running it on the north side and it was making the "s" curves. Near the area where the non scale GG-1 was being run. I'm pretty sure it was on the outside track at that point.
Yes, it was. I probably saw you and didn't even realize it
My scheduled track time wasn't until 1:00, but somebody wanted to see the G run. The guy scheduled to run his train was setting up and wasn't ready yet, so I switched my train out on to the mainline and ran it until he was ready. That was out on the O-84 track and I almost crashed into the nonscale one on the bridge, glad I noticed it before mine got there
That would have been an expensive wreck if either had hit the floor.
Thanks for posting video Charlie. One of the largest module layouts that I have seen. Always like to see Army/military trains with their loads.

but somebody wanted to see the G run.
That would have been me
That's the reason for schedule,,,,everyone that wanted, got a turn. People saw different trains depending on when they were there.
