Good evening all, I was talking to a good friend and fellow forum member Mike R earlier today about the Lionel Milwaukee road 261. He was taking his out of the box for the holidays to run it. We both were saying what a beautiful engine with awesome sounds. So a little later in the day I ran mine for a while and I was noticing the awesome feature Lionel put on this engine. It's called the self adjusting draw bar, It keeps the engine and tender very close on a straight away and then will adjust on a curve for smooth operation. It would be great if Lionel installed this on all there engine's. I wonder if they will. What are your thoughts.

Thanks, Alex          WHAT A GREAT FEATURE

Hi Guy's,

I gotta say it's very odd that Lionel hasn't put this on any of their scale locomotives.

Alex and I were also saying that the Milwaukee Road S-3 was such a great value with so many great features. Now it would seem that the new Santa Fe 3751 and 3759's are better values for the price. But they still don't have the fancy Draw-Bar. Which baffles my simple mind.

This all came about when, as Alex said above, I was taking my S-3 out of the box and had it on the table next to my Santa Fe 3751 from 2004. Making them ready for their duty on my Christmas Layout.

Mike R
