Where did the Soo caboose come from? I've never seen that offered anywhere (or I'd have one ). Is the Geep pulling it Atlas O or MTH or from someone else?

That Soo Line caboose looks like a Mullet River model.
Mullet River makes great kits, but are a challenge to build. A very nice group of pictures!
If I wasn't modeling the SAL I'd be all over the GN, always liked the paint jobs.
Did GN ever have "speed" lettering on their engines?
Gentlemen,
The GN & Soo cabooses where scratch built by Malcolm Byrd. The Soo geep is a GP9 by MTH which I modified into a passenger version with lights, steam generator, and roof air tanks.
Here is a pix of a SP RS11 in the yard awaiting delivery. I fixed the pilot and added Kadees. The engine is a 3/2 model which now has scale wheels. I love all the lights.
I thank you for your kind words anf Likes.

What's the source of the Soo Line boxcars? They don't look like Chooch's.
Just a thought - wouldn't Soo Line 4-6-2 #2719 be a nice addition, say, done by Sunset 3rd Rail? It would please steam-era traditionalists and it could run with today's equipment, as it is live and well in Duluth!
#2719 was a contest winner at the Chicago March Meet! http://oscale.uberflip.com/t/6...the-o-scale-resource (flip to page 33)
Mark S,
The Soo boxcars are ultra-scale kits. One car is saw tooth and the other has steel ends and doors. I'm thinking of modifying a MTH light mike into SooLine #1003 which also runs today.

I would go for a model of 2719!!! I've ridden behind it a number of times. She just was sidelined for the 15 year inspection. I hope they get her going again soon!

Yes, but the problem is, there doesn't seem to be the required funds to perform the FRA mandated 15 year boiler inspection.

Don't know how I missed MTH offering that SP RS11. Is it still available, and does it come in 2-Rail with fixed pilots?
The Soo Line is one of those that we just don't see much off. Hopefully somebody will make some rolling stock.

Agreed. I could use some "Steam Era" scale & correct Soo Line boxcars.
Hi Soo Nut
Very cool locomotives & rolling stock.
