Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have a green jewel marker light suitable for a 2046 Lionel steamer.  The part for the entire metal assembly is 675-14ML but I don't need the housing, only a jewel.  Commercial sources want 25 cents for the part and $5.50 for mailing!

I'm hoping for a less costly solution.

Thanks,

X2000

What a timely thread.  I also need one green jewel for a 1654.  It had them both but when I refreshed the engine took it apart and cleaned it with soap and water, I lost one!  Nice little engine I got a York.

email in my profile and I am willing to pay of course.  There is no such thing as a free lunch.

PennsyDave, did you ever find your green jewels?  If not shoot me an email and I'll hook you up.

This'll sound crude but it'll work fine: Get a glue stick, take a toothpick & remove a very small amount of the glue, put it in the "socket" & press the jewel into the glue. Wipe off any excess & you're good to go.
Using something like Krazy Glue is too "unforgiving," in case it drips & it'd prevent anyone from removing the marker light "jewel" in the future.
