it's been a while since i have bought a new Marx price guide and just wondering if this error persists...

966 - KCS caboose

stated in Marx Greenberg Vol II, p37... "696 through 680 Kansas City Southern; " ... "Note: ... We do not know if either 969 or 980 is an end number for a set of 15 numbers.  We would like to know what numbers the readers of this book have to help fill in the missing numbers."

now i could see their point three decades ago, but this has been known for years.  yet multiple copies of the price guide have been printed since and the error (as far as i know) still exists.  if still printed as such, it would be nice if someone out there with a contact to the publisher could give them a kick and this was finally corrected.

cheers...gary

You may need to contact them personally.  I know when I was young they wanted to inspect and verify everything to a quite high degree, especially if it was rare.  I mean paperwork and all.   I saw a rare tin prewar sets book credibility get squashed for lack of paperwork (Lionel, And I think it was Dave's dad's work train...crap, can't recall his avatar name. Moved last year, FasTrack fan, big Christmas poster ceiling layout over the new bar....crap "walk in the way of the Lord" Signature)
