This show was packed with men, women and children, all of whom seemed to be buying.  I believe our hobby is alive and well, at least in the Central Virginia area.  There were many vendors and trains of all gauges to be found.  For us O- gaugers, there was some prewar Lionel, plenty of postwar and modern Lionel, and lots of MTH.  Lots of American Flyer too.  There were even custom trains and diecast models. There was a small amount of G-gauge and prewar from other manufacturers. There was lots of tiny and small trains for the N and HO fans.  I thought the prices were very reasonable for many of the items I was interested in.  I was disappointed that there were no Lionel parts dealers present, but there seemed to be lots of small gauge and flyer parts available.
