Need yet one more reason to ONLY buy from OGR Sponsors?

In no particular order:

1) Grzyboski's just sent me back a Lionel TMCC Diesel I purchased from them, and had them check for an issue.

Not only did they fix the very simple issue, but I got a HANDWRITTEN THANK YOU NOTE from Joe Grzyboski himself!

AND...a new Lionel Vol.2 catalog AND a Lionel Mousepad!

Brought tears to my eyes!

2) Trainworld's owner Ken Bianco Jr has "personally" been helping me with an MTH issue.

He has the patience of a saint and cares very very very much about his customers.

You just cannot beat that!

3) Nassau (Charlie) always communicates with me via email, forums, phone.... and what else can you say?

AWESOME!

And like the others, when I buy from him, I have 100% confidence!

This is a very personal decision. They are all excellent choices.

I had the same issue when I was flying almost everyday. I had many good airlines to choose from, but it made sense to pack all of the frequent flyer miles I was accumulating into one airline (whenever possible). By doing this, I gained the airlines appreciation and was upgraded to first class on almost every flight.

Now a train dealer is not going to give you a first class ticket, but you get my point.

Sounds a little more like damage control to me.

Have dealt with Joe Grzysboski, Charles RO and Trainworld (as far back as when the late Pete Bianco ran the operation). Always received good deals and service from all.  Never dealt with Nassau hobby or Mr Muffins Trains as they came around just as my large train purchases were tailing off. The sponsors here are reaching out for business and try harder to get it. I would venture to say that all sponsors with banner ads are very good.  Scenic Express, Ross Switches Gargraves, MTH etc ...all quality sources.

Chipset - thanks for posting this.  Good data points. Gotta tell you that as a relative newcomer, this sort of data helps form a balanced opinion.  I called either trainworld or trainLand? a few times last year (the location not on Long Island) and my luck was speaking to more than one wise guy, so decided not to bother with them any longer.  Maybe I should try the Long Island location?    Grzyboski - I bought a whole Legacy set from him and happened to tell my LHS (who wasn't trying to make a sale because he didn't have this in stock) before the set arrived. The guy at the LHS said to "be careful" and then the set showed up - with loco problems. I don't jump to conclusions but had a concern now, thinking maybe LHS guy knew something from experience.  Grzyboski took care of it just fine, and with a hand-written note too - but funny how a negative gratuitous comment can sometimes make you wonder.  Nassau Hobbies - went in there last year and what a nice and knowledgeable group of guys. Charlie Ro has always taken good care of me, as has Amato's in both Middletown and New Britain Connecticut.  Peter

Since joining the Forums I have decided that the small amount of money I have to spend on the layout will be divided among the many fine firms advertising here, rather than on the certain auction website!

Thank you to all advertisers on the forums.

I am looking forward to meeting some of them at York!

Regards
