I have the 82767 Chesapeake and Ohio 1601 I was running it and all the sudden it stopped. Wen over took a look at it found the lubricate link was fallen off. It ended up that one of the screws fell out. So off to the Lionel website for parts. I located the diagrams but they are difficult to figure out. I bought the wrong screw can any one help me make sure I buy the right ONE? I need the screw that hold the lubricate link to the wheel truck the smaller one. Thanks why can't they put good thread lock on these from the factory . I even noticed a few screws they didn't put in at the factory

Take a magnet and go over your layout, you might get lucky and find it. Hope this helps.
Hey Feet.........that is incredibly simple, yet very useful info. You are what makes this Forum G R E A T !
FEET: GREAT suggestion!
I have had grease screws fall out on Lionel stuff before. I know the side rod screw most likely fell on the side of the track but you can also run a magnatraction engine over that loop. They will find anything in the middle of the rails.
The magnet worked founf the screw and got parts from lionel now back to normal thanks guys
That's what this car is for. Tow it around the layout and anything magnetic on the tracks will be discovered. Note that the only metal in the car is the axles, it has plastic wheels as with the metal ones, they wouldn't rotate due to the magnetic force. The magnet is a 1 x 2 x 1/2 Neodymium magnet, it will lift about 100 pounds.
When you finish your run, just hold it over a bench and pick the magnet out, the collected material just drops off.
