I don't see it that way at all. You just occupy a slightly different point in the spectrum of this hobby from mine. The precision of your work is amazing--I never skip one of your posts. It is a lot more challenging than my stuff. I am just living the dream that I got from that Lionel "Model Railroading" book in the '50s. I didn't have the resources or techniques back then to satisfy the itch that the Lionel sales department so skillfully instilled. The itch never went away, so I try to honor the spirit of these wonderful toys. The reason I take the time to post here in such detail is to encourage folks to try this style of construction. It just isn't that hard, and the cost is almost nil. I do enjoy trying to be clever with materials and techniques, I admit. Your stuff is real craftsman work.
