A tech question, is it possible to open up the Haunted Mansion and add something to increase the sound volume?
I ask gunrunner, because he seems to know stuff about this; can you add a sound board to increase the volume?
This is a great accy but the sound is meant to be close as in a Christmas ornament, even with trains off, its still not that loud, you can hear it but a low volume from a distance. thanks

Sure, you can always intercept the speaker wires and run the audio through a small amplifier and either back to the original speaker if it'll handle the power, or a new one that can. I'm not sure what little amps are out there but another option would be to just buy a small amplified speaker and use that with the current speaker audio as it's input.
Another option is to install a baffle on the speaker if it doesn't have one. Also, you can consider looking for a higher efficiency speaker, that would give you louder sound without modifying any electronics or adding an amplifier.
