I was thinking this evening about starting to get out some of my whimsical Halloween cars for the upcoming Fall season. I have the Transylvania docksider which I think is real neat.. especially considering that Lionel put ghoul figures in the cab. I think the Halloween collection warrants a fuller sized engine to be offered by O gauge manufacturers . Perhaps an MTH Halloween Evolution engine with running purple or orange lights or other mid sized engines from Lionel, MTH or Williams...say a Geep, Hudson, or Berkshire? What do you think?

Thank you for patronizing me while not answering my question.

You are a gem.

I also appreciate your condescending tone.

Lionel produced a Halloween version of its "Harry Potter" loco in 2012.  You should look into finding one of those.  Certainly more pulling power than BEEPS or the Transylvania docksider!    Hallows Eve Express LINK

It is amazing just how big Halloween has gotten in the last 10 or 15 years.  It used to really be only for kids.  But it's morphed into this huge thing that people of all ages are participating in.  I think people just like an excuse to break out and have fun.  Any excuse to party.  I know I used to never even like the holiday but I am slowly doing more and more decorating every year for it and this year I will even make a very simple Halloween layout with the Peanuts Halloween Lionel set.  As someone who does not have a permanent layout, the fact that I can extend my Christmas layout with a Halloween layout makes me very happy!

Those who have seen the Northeast Corridor may remember Amtrak's orange engines that were called... Pumpkins.  MOW GP-7. You can find pictures by searching "Amtrak Pumpkin."
