Gents,

Sorry missing the comments and questions on how the SCS Paper Factory was made.

Well, for one, that is one industry I did not make. I got it from a good friend and great modeler, Phil Opielowski. Here is his comments on how he made the structure.

Hope the below helps?

Dan

"The key components are the resin castings.  I used Micro Mark materials.  I made a pattern from styrene including 3 windows . Then I made a couple rubber molds and cast them in batches.  The pieces between the windows between stories are also resin castings.  I used Holgate & reynolds vinyl brick sheet to make a pattern of two, a rubber mold, and castings.  The 6-story tall pillasters are I believe 1/8" styrene covered with H&R brick.  You'll notice some longer than usual resin pieces made with the window arch fo fire escape doors and such.  I had a "one-up" mold and trimmed them to shape.  All doors are built-up styrene as is the delicate fire escape."

All,

I had two days of open house for the model RR and had (85) thus far. So then I have

a request today to open earlier on Sunday.. So I will. I will open at 1130 for those willing to attend or wanting to attend earlier. (before the game!) but guess what, I have a 61" in the train room here in the barn and the game will be on! HA!

Take care, hope to see you tomorrow..

By the way, anyone who didn't register can still come on by! Dan
