I have 1 handheld and 2 TIUs. The TIUs power 2 layouts and they are not run at the same time.
Everything works fine.
My question is if I set 1 TIU as 1 and the other as 2 will I be able to load trains on my handheld as TIU 1 and TIU2 and be able to toggle between them.
In other words If I set my handheld as TIU1 I will only see trains on my Standard Gauge layout. Toggling to TIU 2 I will only see trains on my O-gauge layout.
Anyone do this or tried.

I tried. Did not work.
All engines loaded in the Handheld came up no matter what Handheld address I used.
I would be a nice feature with some practical applications. Belonging to a club one could have home engines on one TIU address and club engines on another.
I don't know how you can set a single handheld to only recognize one TIU at a time.
And unless you have more than 99 engines, I don't know why most people would.
I have one remote and two TIUs. One tiu powers my O gauge and another does my G scale. The engines are all in one remote.
You could move them to different addresses to help you sort them out if that's your problem? When I make a consist, I label it with a G if it's a G gauge consist. It helps me keep things straight. Maybe you could add a label for layout 1 or 2??

I tried to do exactly what you are trying for one of my 027 layouts that ran inside my FasTrack, never could get it to work. Had to use a special desiganation like Joe
advised, it all comes up at one time, and there is no way to devide it into 2 sections.

Joe that is a good idea. I could change addresses to groups. 1 to 50 STG 51 to 99 O-Gauge. This would save scrolling time in the Inactive section. Even better than toggling between TIU1 and 2.
