I celebrate Christmas, too, BUT there's certainly nothing wrong with expressing "Happy Holidays" wishes to all since this season of the year encompasses many holidays for folks of a variety of faiths, or even no faith at all, who are represented by our forum membership.

It's the spirit of the expressed sentiment that should count, not the precise words used.  If that doesn't suit you, keep your fingers off the keyboard.

Thank you, Allan. Have a Merry Christmas. My holiday period ended last night. (Hanukah) I got a GORGEOUS 726 with 2426 tender.

In the spirit of the Holidays. techie, I hope your Hanukah was the best ever, and I remember a Christmas many, many years ago when I got my 726.   The family gathering and dinner was at my Grandparents, and I had to take it with me.

I celebrate Christmas also but normally offer the "Happy Holidays" greeting to those I am not familiar with. I never understood the objection people have to it. It is a rather self-centered objection at that, assuming that everyone else celebrates the same holidays or traditions that they do. I prefer a more inclusive greeting, taking into account that we are a very heterogenious society.

If I'm relatively sure people are celebrating Christmas, I say "Merry Christmas.". If I know they do Hanukah or Yule, I'll wish them a happy that. Otherwise, I'll say Happy Holidays. No matter what, as we head to the shortest night of the year, we're pretty much all waiting for the Return of the Light. Whatever you're having, have a good one...and in our house, it's Merry CHRISTmas
