Harmon Monk passed away early this morning. More later when we find out the details of the services.

Nice man and excellent scratch builder.
I loved the guy. He was younger than me - I will drop his family a note. He actually had an airport on his farm, and I had good intentions of dropping in.
He lived about 15 miles from me. His son has a flying service, crop dusting, attached to the farm. So hard to believe as we were just talking in the past few days.
I talked with Harmon every year in Chicago at the O Scale meet and was looking forward to seeing him again this year. I always enjoyed our conversations about O scale locomotive construction. A very nice man. He will be missed.

Harmon and I would talk trains and farming when in Chicago. We had talked about meeting this year for the first time in years. Going back to Chicago but there will a big whole for me with Bernie Lowe, John Kiel and now Harmon Monk moving on to that passenger station in the sky.
Harmon was a gentleman and a gentle man. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

My prayer for Harmon Monk and his loved ones.
May his soul rest in peace up in Heaven.

I always enjoyed Mr. Monk's posts. May all the lights be green.
