Has any other railroads ordered EMD SD30C-ECO? Looks kind of like the old SD45's!

So far only CP has these on the rails.
BNSF has the PR30C, though. Kinda similar...
Are those "new" units, or complete re-manufactured units? Neither of the photos show that the units have the HTC-R "Radial" trucks, which one would think that totally "new" units would have.

Best looking Diesels in years! This trend needs to catch on, HUZZAH !
Hmmm, I've got an Aristo G SD45 MRL sitting right next to me here. I might have to order one of these modifications on my RR!!! SD30C-ECO?
I'd need more views, PR30C? Is that an air conditioner on top for example? antennas? what type of housing back there or something else??
Now I've got to go study much more.
Hi Joe,
Check this out the pictures at railpictures.net Looks like a cross between a SD45 and SD40-2!

On a side note, has anyone noticed that more and more engines now have two horns one on the cab roof and another one at the rear on the engine. I think there is a new FRA rule for 2015 that requires for two horns..........one front and rear.

Frank

Man look at the nixe on that baby!!
Ok Joe,
when are you starting this new project?

It appears that the EMD 645 diesel has been replaced with a Caterpillar 3516C diesel.
Here are the specs:
https://marine.cat.com/cda/layout?x=7&f=496066
These are marine engines and are Tier II compliant. Looks line fuel consumption is roughly 150 gallons/hour which would be approximately 40 gallons/hour less than the old EMD 645.

I'll take one! (preferably 1:48 scale, don't have room for the one in the picture, DCS or Legacy/TMCC preferred)

Well the ACe is getting close to paint, there a MP15AC I just started, Casting pilots and details, rebuilding three engines, powering two dummies, about ten things on deck after that so.............soon!
( I like to start twenty or so projects at once)
You and Bill are working me hard! propane diesels, eco models, new paint schemes....
I like these new ECO unit rebuilds. I see that Overland is doing the CP GP20C in HO. I wish these were available in S
Are you people paying Attention?? This is a GOOD LOOKING locomotive !

It's funny how different people have different tastes. No offense Martin, but That ACE is one of my least favorite diesels in one of my least favorite paint schemes Glad you like it though
