I was interested in the personalized Lionel boxcar this past Christmas but couldn't pull the trigger for the $85-$89 for 3 lines of text. Nwas thinking if I spray painted and decalled a boxcar I could do it for half that amount. Which makes me wonder, has anyone tried to have a photo or logo on a rolling stock? Was wondering that is possible. B Please post some pictures if so, looking for ideas and it doesnt matter if it is a passenger car, boxcar, gondola, flat car, caboose. Etc. thanks

I do this all the time. I enjoy doing cars that are different and were not done by MTH, Lionel ETC. Check my Post _ How I make my custom cars. I have done 100s.

Williams repaint, Louise is wife's middle name.
LCCA founding member Jim Gates CM 1 is featured on a Lionel produced box car of which about a dozen were made. I saw one of them a few years ago at an LCCA open house prior to the Rockford show. Some one may be able to post a photo.

Here is one I did for my Burlington set. The name is my wife's maiden name and the number is the year we met.
