Here's why I feel I need to reprogram the engine.
- With the bell turned off I can still faintly hear the bell dinging
- When I hit the +/- to turn the smoke unit on or off it works, but I get Tower Com as well with either the + or - button
So, with my trusty manual in hand on page 15 I get to Step 5: Press "ENG", then ID#, "AUX1", then 8 for your locomotive.
My question. When I press "AUX1" I lose the numeric screen and the screen with Tower Com, (-), (+) along the third row come up. The (-) is in the spot where the 8 would be. I hit that and nothing appears to change.
Is it me? The engine? The controller?
