When I did some 2400 cars I used liquid masker around each character and used a fine brush to apply the paint. Very tedious to say the least. Someone else posted they used cheap acrylic paint, filled the character and then just rubbed off the excess after it dried. Resuts appeared excellent and what I would try next were I do some other cars.
