Does anyone know of a listing ( pictures would be even better) of all the cars ( reefers, vat cars, etc.) made and used by the H.J. Heinz company? Thanks in advance-turtle7 ( P Hering Lombard, IL)

Careful guys....no copyrighted pictures!! Best to contact the OP directly.
I did a quick search and found that Heinz-owned railcars had the reporting marks HJHX from 7/1935 to 7/1965, discontinued after 1966. So, if you have (or can get) access to Official Railway Equipment Register (ORER) documents over that time period, you should be able to compile a list. Good luck in your effort!
Alan Thanks for the reminder-dont get old !! P Hering
Not quite what you asked for, but the Dec 2011 issue of Railroad Model Craftsman has an article by David J Leider on the pickle industry and railroading. It has lots of photos, including those of the Heinz cars.
Do a google search. You'll find links and also check "images" tab.

Responders Thanks to all who responded. GN Man-that ORER site is great but it is a bit expensive to join if I will use it infrequently ( and at my age of 80, that is likely !). John S Do you have that issue of RMC? If you do, does it cover mainly the pickle vat cars?-I am more interested in the Hinze reefers. Zeke-I had looked at that Pittsburg history site-but there are so many more Heinz O gague reefers done-ex. the Lionel wood sided and 1984 TCA banquet car; all those K Line ( yellow, brown, vertical striped variations ; that K Line 645-5201 more modern Pure Food Products and the LOTS 2014 ( I think that is the year)black Hinze reefer; etc. - that knowing which are prototypical or not is a bit tricky. It seems that the site offered by GB may be the best. I will let all you know if I discover any more info. Thanks, turtle7 ( P Hering)
