Kind of an unusual fix.  My Atlas-O RS1 had heavy paint on the wheel flanges.  I spent a fair amount of time with cleaners, both mechanical, and lacquer thinner,  ran much better.  The low speed start, which was part of the TAS EOB, needed very good track continuity, both center rail, and side rails. The EOB non-linear acceleration was a bit unusual, but once you experienced the operation, it was an O.K. system.  At the time, there was discussion, about the metal used to make the Atlas O flanged wheels.  IMO, Mike CT.

Edit/Add: Not all first issue Atlas-O RS1s had EOB. Most all additional issues had EOB, until it was replaces with the ERR drive systems.  Somewhere in the technical section of the forum is an EOB install document, which has EOB settings, and adjustments.  We have done the EOB discussion before on this forum.
