help headlight bracket af ogauge # 3300

headlight bracket and socket for a af ogauge # 3300, I have tried many and they don't seem to work,,,do they screw onto the smokestack,like standard gauge or on the front of the motor housing? I want to get this baby back on the track and this is the only thing that's holding me up,,thanks for the help !!,terry
