help: Legacy dash 9 started crawling

I would look to see if both motor/trucks assemblies are running. Then check lubrication and finally look for a broken wire.

     Make sure you don't have the brake slider on (either CAB2 remote). Even if the brake slider is in the off position work the slider back and forth as some times a engine's brakes will get stuck on. Good luck

Address the engine.

Press SET, headlight will flash. Get
your locomotive moving to the maxi-
mum speed you want it to run, press
BOOST. Use this to keep your locomo-
tive from excess-speed derailing. Turn
off the high voltage setting by pressing

What did you find Shane?  Any of the above suggestions work?

I tried everything out that was suggested above.

 reprogramming to restore features

I oiled and greased the wheels

both motor/trucks assemblies are running

shut off the speed limit control

with the engine upside down in a cradle both trucks run when power is applied, but very slowly

in fact I can slow the wheels down by just applying a small amount of pressure with my clip.

The break slider is off on both CAB 2s

throughout everything the GE hybrid is running perfectly with both CAB twos.

Being 89 years old and my hands being somewhat shaky I  did not open the engine. However some younger members of the club will undertake this.

Aside from broken wires, any ideas about what might be wrong internally?
