Wondered if anyone out there could help out with what the early pre-order discounted pricing was on a few items from the Lionel 2017 V2 catalog.  I can’t find it anywhere online any places I’ve called (Charles Ro, TrainWorld, etc) are unwilling to provide me the information.  I’m not sure why it’s such a big secret but....  I understand I can’t take  advantage of it as most pre-orders closed in Oct but i’d just like to know what it was out of my own curiosity.  Thanks to anyone who can provide some light on this.

E6’s (steamers not diesel)  6-84943

S-3’s  6-84067

F3’s    6-85186

F3 Superbass    6-85190

F3 Powered B unit    6-85189

Thanks a million to anyone who can help!

As I understand the pre-order pricing,  you needed to call the dealer to get their best pricing over the phone, so it is not going to be available on line or in written form anymore.

I have the E6 Great Northern Steamer on order for $685. This is not Charles Ro's price, they may have been a few dollars less, but I would rather order from my local dealer, Eastside trains who provide great service and I don't need to worry about having it shipped and be damaged.

Not looking to start a new topic since this topic's title does the job perfectly, but I'm similarly looking to see if I can get some assistance on what the general dealer prices were on the below 2017 catalog items.
I found a dealer that has them available, but currently has them listed at MSRP. I'd like to see if they can be negotiated with to generally accepted prices.

Burlington Northern SD60M 6-84401 - MSRP $649.99

Burlington Northern E8 Set 6-84078 - MSRP $999.99
BN 21" 4-Car Passenger Set 6-84054 - MSRP $619.99
BN 21" Station Sounds Diner 6-84053 - MSRP $309.99

Using some google-fu, I did find a previous price listing from Hennings trains which had reductions anywhere from 10% to 25% for the 4-car set.

Thanks in advance!

Legacy locos rarely had discounts of more than 10% for preorders.  Sometimes 20-25% for some rolling stock.  The dealer has sunk costs of carrying this inventory for several years and may not be keen on giving you any discount.  But the best you can do is make the dealer an offer to take $2,500 of inventory off their hands.  The worst that can happen is they won't budge. There are no generally accepted prices for new old stock. Auction results are usually for used items, but you could check those out.
