Hi guys. I am having a problem with 2 of my steam engines. The smokers both work but are not doing the synchronized puffing. They sort of just having smoke coming out but not forcefully. Any advice would be great. Thanks.
Sounds like the fan is loose on the impeller shaft. If you are getting a slow steady stream, open up the smoke unit and check to see if the fan is spinning on its own. It can be removed and either use a drop of super glue or roughen up the shaft to adhere the fan. When the fan puffs you can usually here the intermittent high pitch whir. The fan pulses with the chuff sounds.
