I own the Lionel Canadian Pacific set (6-21759) released in 1999 consisting of an F3 AA set, 3 Vista Domes and an Observation Car. Two of the VDs now require some light bulb replacement (I believe they're the bayonet type) and so I'm seeking instructions on how to disassemble the cars to access the bulbs.
It should be noted I have consulted Lionel's website (specifically Parts Replacement) and familiarized myself with the detailed parts breakdown shown for VD car 6-29142, but had problems when I tried to disassemble the car. Specifically, after removing the end plate I tried to slide the frame out of the channels, but the 'Base Hangers' (6109123075) created problems and wouldn't allow the frame to come out so I concluded that discretion was the better part of valour.
In conclusion, some detailed step-by-step instructions on disassembly would be greatly appreciated, so thanks to all and Merry Christmas to everyone!
PS - Before Posting this I did a Search of the OGR Forum but was unable to find anything specific to my older 15 inch aluminum Vista Dome cars.
