If I want to run my protosound 1 engines with the remote and TIU revL, do I have to connect to the variable output? I also have K-Line and Lionel with TMCC controls.  Would I have to buy a Lionel controller and attach it to utilize the sounds and commands?  How do I run my other Williams and old Lionel that are just legacy engines?  I have two Protosound 1 engines which I have tried to reset with the MTH chip, and I am having great difficulty unlocking them from neutral.  They were engines that prior owners had them on the shelf and allowed the battery to run down.  MT-3016L NYC Express Steam engine and MT-2012LP Seaboard diesel.  There are BCR's in both.

I do have the DCS O Gauge Companion 2 e-book.

In that case, you'll find all the answers you're seeking in the book.

For questions regarding operating TMCC or Legacy engines refer to section Part VI - TMCC and Legacy, starting on page 121.

For questions regarding operating conventional engines, including PS1, Williams and Lionel post/pre war engines, refer to section Part VII - Operating Conventional Engines, starting on page 126.

This and a whole lot more is all in "The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition", now available for purchase as an eBook or a printed book from MTH's web store site! Click on the link below to go to MTH's web page for the book!
