Charles Ro is Less expensive than you are.
Really Roundhouse Bill??? Is that in the best taste to post this on another forum sponsor's thread?
Granted Charlie is a huge dealer, and I've patronized him for decades. But Hennings is one of my LHS along with Nicholas Smith Trains, and I try to spread my spending around so these stores stay in business when I stop by the next time -- not that either of them are going anywhere soon, thankfully.
But frankly, you can get great deals from any of these stores. Late last year, I snagged a Lionel Legacy Reading T-1 and C&O Allegheny from Hennings Trains at very competitive prices -- better than what I would have paid at Charlie Ro, despite the fact the boys at Hennings typically deal through a distributor. Sometimes, there's no discerning the rhyme-and-reason of prices in the supply chain these days. So it pays to establish and maintain good relationships with multiple dealers all around -- don't just look at the published price lists behind the comforts of our keyboard and expect the best deals.
Just sayin'....
