I needed a belt and 2 "O" rungs for my lumber loader and what I did not realize was how hard they were to find. I was at Hennings web site and used the ol "contact us" button.
Within 2 hours Harry responded and said he had the "O" rings but not the belt. Well you have to start somewhere so the E mail contained the part number so I went to the web site to order the O rings. Mmm could not find them. Sent an E mail back.
Short time later " They are not on the web site, Give me your mailing address and I'll send them to you. Send me a check or call the store when you get them. " Well they arrived in a few days in an envelope.
Now I've ordered a few things from them before but I'm not what you would call a preferred customer, but what old school service. Who said the internet has ruined the train business ? With old school service like that how can the business not do well ?
Thanks again Harry of Hennings trains

Great service! Thanks for sharing.
Good to know!
Some people still believe in customer service.
Complete agreement, Henning's customer service is exceptional in today's world, as needs arise no reservations with purchasing from them in the future.
Thanks to Henning's Trains, my 494 Beacon, which had NEVER worked properly in all the years I've had it, is now a consistent, reliable performer.
They sent instructions when I ordered replacement driving washers, to be sure fingers pointed "up.!" I had never known that.
They also regularly have very nice videos on Facebook.
I hope to visit someday.
Harry signed my TCA application many years ago, without hesitation, when I said I was joining.
Harry is a great guy. I had the pleasure of meeting him at York last October. Some day, I plan to go to his Run For Fun event.

Folks, there's a reason Henning's Trains has been around for 77 years! Wishing them many more!!!

Old school indeed. Harry is the most honest train repair person that I've ever dealt with!

Agreed! Great customer service.
Thank you all. We try, but sometimes you just can not answer every body 's questions in a timely manner. I also would like to comment that I am the "OLD MAN", & take care of the pre war trains & parts. Sometimes it takes me a week or more to locate & answer a part question. When you get my age, we need to take a nap in the PM. Harry iii is my son, whom takes care of some of the electronic questions and is the president of the North Penn "O" Gauge RR Club." He is the one with the 'run for fun' event. Bill, my youngest son will answer your questions on the "NEW" items and availability. Thank you. Harry
Hennings is the best! I'm 2nd generation going to them. Both Harry's knowledge is outstanding and both are more than willing to help.
They occasionally even ask me the electronics questions.
Great guys great family, gotta love the Henning's!!!!

Sorry John, but I've never met you at Hennings or had opportunity to ask questions of you.
Is this the same Francine that worked at Matheson?
Yes it is Bob, I see you on facebook, but don't spend much time there. I have about 5 or 6 large boxes of O scale buildings that I am selling for $175 - if you are interested.
I'll give them a one thumb up. They repaired my Yellowstone as it only ran in reverse and fixed the smoke unit. Unfortunately the smoke unit is again not working - but not their fault I am sure. The time and cost of repair was reasonable. I LOVE their Facebook page. A lot of good interaction and ideas there. I plan to visit the shop some day soon.
