Having four young grandson's, I ordered four of the new Hess firetrucks to give as Christmas presents. The box arrived and last night I began to open the shipping box in order to wrap the presents. Out came my knife to open the box and, well, what's going on here? Why won't this box open. Low and behold it wasn't a normal shipping box. With some careful cutting it came to pass that it was not one shipping carton, but, four shipping cartons carefully taped together into one package!

Then again, carefully opening these boxes to take out the Hess firetruck in its own colorful box, I found that it might be a very good box to store, ship or transport model railroad cars. The inside is 12.75" in length and 4.375" wide.

I too ordered 4 Hess trucks, 2 for my twin grandsons, one for my son, and one for me! The shipping box is great, I'm saving mine!!
