Just in case you don't venture to the other OGR Threads, 3rd Rail has announced the limited Production of EMC E1 A & B unist for the Santa Fe and B&O! While Awesome for the SF and B&O fans, I reached out the Scott Mann and see if he has any interest in PRoducing the EMC Eunit #822. This was the first E unit in the series that culminated all the way to the E9

While the EMC Demonstrator #822 [Which became KCS#1] was Technically an EMD E3 unit, the EMC #822 demonstrator was in the E1 carbody complete with Flush headlight and square side carbody windows [al a E7]

Unfortunately I never seen a color picture of this unit nor a model of this unit in any scale. Several years ago a brass importer was to make some in HO but I never herd of what happened to that project. I suspect the colors are a rendition of KCS colors of that day [Black with Orange V nose and Red Striping with a Yellow upper panels and roof?] I think I read somewhere [maybe in Diesel Era on KCS E unit story] this unit prior to delivery of KCS had ELECTRO-MOTIVE spelled out on the lower black sides fo the carbody.

I any event who is with me in obtaining Scott Mann to Produce this unique demonstrator unit? I know these diesels are expensive but the work and detail into making them is a lot as well and one would be hard pressed to either scratchbild and/or kitbash one!

Just so you fans are aware, these diesels are TRULY Built to ORDER. IF the Last 3rd Rail E6 was any indication on how rare these production units are... From this forum, I believe I maybe the only one with the 3rail version of the E6 A unit Demonstrator/Worlds Fair unit. The other 3 E6 Demonstrator/Worlds Fair units made were 2 rail!  LEts Make this unique unit Happen and Don't Get Left out!
