it's alive .......
MTH Ohio Central diesels always seem to be a good seller. Maybe the next time MTH does a Northern they do a Ohio Central version.

Weaver did one years ago. It didn't sell well.
The real one is not running any more and likely will not run again for quite some time.
Thanks for posting.... There's a bit of Canadian flavour watching it. I believe the engine is the same or very similar to our 6200s (6218).
I don't know if anyone wants to answer this.. But if a crew member which engine would you pick for fast freight or Pass service.
NW J 611
Rich's engine 765
or the ex GTW 6325
I pick All of them.
The 6325 weighs a couple thousand pounds more then a CNR 6200, but a Canadian friend pointed out that that could be explained by the quite heavy Commonwealth pilot on the GTW locomotive. Otherwise, they are the same in terms of stats.
Had the opportunity to ride the cab of 6325 some 10 or 11 years ago......she rides like a Mercedes limousine! On the other hand, rode the cab of WMSR 2-8-0 #734.....she rides like a sledge hammer on steel!
Sunset 3rd Rail did both the Canadian National U2g and the GTW U3b in both 2 and 3 rail. Nice models - have 'em both!
As an aside, in 1961 Pontiac had an ad campaign titled "Pontiac pores it on!". (that was the era when Pontiac was involved with racing). Someone in Marketing thought "Gosh, what really looks like it is pouring it on? Why, a steam locomotive!" Just so happened that the GTW had #6323 on hand, and still serviceable. They filmed it pulling a batch of flatcars with various Pontiac models + a fellow in a tux playing a grand piano, with a comely young lady in an evening dress draped on the piano, right behind the tender. Suspect the piano people felt steam locomotives pour on a lot of soot, after the shoot! Did see the ad once on tv.
I'd imagine the evening gown was much the worse for wear, too.
Wonderful video! That whistle sends shivers up my spine.
Thanks for posting, really enjoyed watching that.
AMAZING video!!! Thanks.Nick

I think I recall that model. It did not sell well it had some bugs in them. Not running any more thats a shame and a let down.A powerful locomotive like that going to waste. But I have seen many videos of modern locomotives in storage. But times change the freight will pick up again. It will not be coal thou at least not in my area. All I see is stack trains mixed freights and grain trains.Wait I take that back I have seen empty hopper train one day last week.
Gorgeous Locomotive, and that running stock and "F3 caboose" are pretty nice too! You've put together a great series of videos, thanks for showing them!
Fantastic steam whistle! Thanks for sharing that video.

I thought that I was looking at a 6150 series CNR loco when I was watching this. They could have come out of the same shop right down to the tender.
Outstanding video, thanks!
