I asked about the lights as I know the headlights are LEDs and they come on at a power level even lower than that which the incandescent cab light came on at. I wanted to look at the circuit to see if it was possible to recreate it so as to do the same things for other locomotives. The LED lighting in conventional and command. I know there have been several thread on do it, but I'm still collecting information and learning and trying to see what all is out there.
The ERR MC-II directly supports LED lighting.

And that was in both the unit with full RailSounds and the unit without?
Nope, the HHP-8 with the full RailSounds has the full up ERR Cruise Commander. If you want LED lighting with the full Cruise Commander, you do the standard thing and use a 330 or larger resistor and a diode for the lights from the standard headlight and reverse light outputs.
That's why I specifically mentioned the MiniCommander II, that's the one that was in the original HHP-8 set engine. It had a basic horn/bell board and the MC-II. I've never actually seen the HHP-8 separate sale model, though if I got one, that's the one I'd want.
