Hi have a 30-1195-1 ps 2 3 volt need part

The part is the Omron EE-SY124, it was discontinued in 2010.  I'd buy the board from MTH.

they are only selling the board to asc techs, it's seven dollars from them!

I thought you were dealing with a local shop that has an ASC.  Can't he get the part for you?

i thought the only thing i could not buy direct was the PS 2 and PS 3 boards had to be asc tech,did not expect that little tiny board which only has one part on it not able to buy, I'm going to go to three day school in August or October , which ever one i can work out my schedule with .funny i have bought an extra wire harness for my big boy and it has that board already on it? Then  I'll be an asc tech and can buy parts to repair my loco's and others like you guy's do!

Thanks for the info George and John,i was hoping i could buy the ic from a electronic company. guess I'll just have to order from my local hobby shop.

P.S. do you either of you know the manufacture part number on the ic for the reader?

my hobby shop said mth can't get the board, do any of you have the tach board or ic mth can't get the boards!

George when i originally tried to order the board from mth it does not show for sale on there mth web sight part number!

That's how i found out mth don't see tach boards unless you order a wire harness then the tach board comes soldered on the new harness . George also i need a harness foe the locomotive bc-1000005 for one of my challenger as the old harness is melted from bad 5 volt board

Alan, that board comes three ways. No spacer AG-0000033,  one spacer AG-0000047,  and two spacers  AG-0000041.   If for some reason you need a board with resistor, those have seperate numbers.

Is your Challenger RK or scale?

Alan,  AG-0000033 is superseded.  That may be the issue.  Order a AG-0000058.  That is the new part number for no spacer.  Has a hole for a screw mount too.  That is why it changed part number.

Or AG-0000078 is the optical sensor as a repair part.  G

Ive got a tach board in my parts supply. I can mail it today

Marty mine had no spacer and no resister on the back of board,the tach reader for my turbine 6-8-6 20-3047-1 ps2 was five volt now has 3 volt board inside, i scavenged the tach reader to repair my challenger so now i need the tach reader to put the turbine back together and run. thanks all for your help !

thanks for your support Marty,i had checked the mth web sight and found like 5 or 6 different tach board numbers but did not appear any were available,was hoping oine of the GURU"S might have an new old ic and i could then just replace the chip.i thought i read somewhere there was a different chip that would work but the mounting would be different?
