Stopped by the Hi-Rail club in Griffith, IN today. Thanks for the invite Jim (SantaFe Jim on the Forum)!

These guys have some first rate scenery and are working on adding a separate steel mill point to point layout. I believe one guy built all of the buildings from scratch for a complete steel mill. Should be amazing when it's up and running.

Here are a few photos. You may recognize some of the scenes as this layout has been featured in OGR Magazine.

For those in the Chicago area it is an easy trip with quick access to I-80/94. I got there in 40 minutes from the western burbs. In Saturday traffic it is only one hour from O'Hare Airport. Worth the drive!!

Nice. I appreciate you posting the pictures.

When I used to travel on business it was fun to stop by in the evening and visit clubs, etc. It is one of the few things I miss about traveling now.

Beautiful layout. Wish we had started with a triple mainline. I saved the picture of the Lionel Grain Elevator.
