I am just throwing an idea out there, first are there any O scale clubs in the Northeast Pa area?   I am not aware of any and have been watching TM's HiRail Layout DVD's and it got me thinking.

Do clubs have to have central club layout?  because that in itself is quite an expense I would imagine, having to get a space, and build.

I was thinking what if a club existed, gathering members with home layouts, were instead of having a central layout, on a scheduled basis the members would visit each others pikes.

There are a lot of ways to handle this , but I wanted to see if anyone had thoughts on this, has it been done before?

Just talking out loud, thank you for listening.

I know there is a club near Frackville PA, near a shopping mall, route 61 or 81, somebody with the name of cruikshank on Classic Toy Trains has posted info on it.

Also there is one near Reading PA in a small community of Temple PA, off of route 73.

Go to Reading Company Technical and Historical Society website for info on this club, check out the links page.
