"We don't have the time to do it right.  We have the time to do it over."

I may not be the best planner, but at least when I get a chance to redo stuff, I learn new things.  The elevated line on my railroad was initially made in haste just to add a neat element to one side of the layout.  But The posts underneath prevented me from making good use of the space for storing engines.  So I decided to tear it all down carefully so I could reuse lumber and such for the main structure but this time, I built the elevated line around the new expanded "Hidden Switchyards" underneath that we like to call The Bat Cave.  There's now enough room underneath to store a huge row of freight cars and some other engines.  The video should help explain a little more about what I've managed to do here but I've also included some pictures to illustrate the plan.

I'll be working on scenery elements next trying to figure out how to make this rock wall look a little more convincing.  Going to cut out a spot under that bridge for a "water feature", too.  But overall the main construction is complete and I'm happy with how the Hidden Switchyards worked out.
