Well I did not know the heritage of the cab or trailer, but I know they were a very common sight when I was growing up.

Oh yeah Erik, excellent. Those last pictures sold it.
Thanks for the series. I'm about to embark on something similar. Nice to have someone pave the way.

I remember watching the duel and being scared!
Kind of a joke now.
I must say, I think the color of the sky has too much blue in it. It looks fake.

I have to go through a wall and I think that having the train travel through an overpass would be much more appropriate than entering a tunnel. The era of your bridge is exactly what I wanted. I wasn't having much luck finding materials to model it, until I started reading your thread. Now the Rix Overpass page is on my Top Sites list. I wouldn't have guessed the HO materials would work. I don't know if it would have happened without this thread. Thanks again.

If I had more time I would have ordered these. At least tried them out.

I can see why John is happy, it looks mighty good!
Bob is doing a good job! I agree, Bob!
In an era of huge, complex layouts, and in the wake of the regrettable and bummed out ashes of the demise of the Colorado Midland, we see that good modeling rises from the ashes in a relatively modest modular layout. Life springs eternal.
Way to go, Erik.
That came together nicely. I like the final look of the roadway...great stuff.
Saw you guys at the show today. Looking good! Who did you anger to get stuck back there? There was plenty of space out among the inferior scales! I guess, having displayed at a few shows (60 or 70?) back in my single days, I can appreciate the solitude of a quiet corner!
Like I said, good looking modules and models! Well done!

Whoa!!!
I thought those SP switchers were Atlas at first.
The second and third unit looks like MP15ACs?? The Atlas are DC's like the first one.
Are those custom or kitbashed or.....MTH shells one Atlas chassis??
I always like your projects and posts.
They are MP-15ACs and an MP-15DC.
The MP-15ACs are Overland and The MP-15DC
is by Atlas O. The quality of the Atlas O model
really does approach the OMI here.
I think they look realistic together pulling an industrial U.S. Army cut of Oshkosh M-977 HEMTT vehicles.

Excellent overpass, with first class photos.

Erik,
I've used the Rix pieces as well and, frankly, think size wise look better than the Crow River railings. Sometimes, actual scale size is too big-- after all, we are creating an illusion. So if it looks right, that's all that matters.
Very nice scene, by the way!
Looks to me like it has been a good weekend!!!
