Before the day gets away from us, I wanted to wish everyone a very merry Christmas. And, because Christmas is the reason so many of us are toy train aficionados, today is the perfect day to share - would be great to hear each person's Christmas story about their first toy train. Mine was in 1973 (I think). The Lionel Southern Express set sat as the biggest wrapped gift from Santa under our aluminium tree. I watched that train go around and around until my parents would drag me away to do something less important - like eat, sleep, etc. I still own that set and it is still my most valued possession.
