How are ya, 'n a big railroad howdy, eh? I got a bone ta peck with you fellas, eh? It seems dat de ole stereo typing of us Canuckleheads as simple nort' of da border poor cousins of Amurkins needs a fixin', an it's aboot time. I don' know why we turned into caricatures of Rocky 'n Bullwinkle characters, eh, but fer sure dat's what it seems like. Well, dis here's one Canpoke dat can assure you dat in da little city of Lethbridge, Alberta in the early 50s, dat fer sure I saw a clear shell 2333 F3 brought in by the Lionel salesman. May have been 52 or 53, but I could survive one of yer finest Amurkin lie detectors on that one. In Calgary a few years later, fer sure I saw a Lionel #621 blue Jersey Central switcher with a dark orange frame, yep, 'jes like in the '56 catalog, and ya can gimme yer lie detector on that one, too, but I sure as hill saw it, eh? So maybe that repairs a hole in the mountain of myth that we're kinda OOT of it, we might, but wouldn't say... So, even tho' this here's one Canadian rube who does, in fact, love his Amurkin cousins (got some nieces and nephews down dere, too), I say can the hard feelin's if they is any, is ootdated. CP an' CN continue to swallow up some of my favorite old flags across the line, and if ya ever get inspired to find out, we'd be glad to point out where we are on the world map! Happy rails to you, until we meet agin!
