Have an RK D&H RS3, from 2011, 5v PS2 with BCR2, (thanks Joe), 30-20021-1, which has a horn that doesn’t quill, or, trill, or warble, or dip, (if any of these are the correct term) after depressing the horn button. This is the only loco that does this in my modest stable. It also seems to be the only abnormal operating feature of this loco (in conventional). I don’t have DCS, And my track is a simple oval of Fastrack with a possibly squirrelly  Z1000. Anyone encountered this before, or have an idea of the cause? Thanks.

Are you referencing the extra beep or quilling that occurs after releasing a prolonged horn press?  I only run DCS where this is an available feature.  If so I have noticed that some engines need to have a longer horn press than others - definitely not consistent.  I have an RK Trainmaster from quite a years back which requires an abnormally long press, but it eventually will do the extra horn sounds after releasing.
