I just seen about a week or so ago a thread about changing pitch sound on a whistle.  Well I finally completed my 1953 Santa Fe 2353 War Bonnet edition.  I was able to hear the sound of the horn and I thought it seemed a little metallic.  Is there a way to change the pitch maybe a deeper sound or something.  I seen where someone put a piece of plastic or something on the horn.  If someone can direct me to to that thread or inform me of a way to change it that would be much appreciated.  Thanks

This is a link to a youTube video on horn repair.   This is not my video and you need to be aware/careful about taking an original PW horn apart.  The metal tabs can be so age hardened that they will break off and the the horn is toast.   There is an adjustment screw on the bottom of the horn to modify the pitch but the volume is more a function of how well the vibrating plate makes and breaks contact.  The contact points could be oxidized (usual issue) or the plate itself could be age hardened and no longer flexible enough to vibrate (less likely).
