After ordering new wire for the layout I want to run it under each level. Without getting into trying to screw holding brackets underneath will hot melt hold them in place or over time will the brackets break free from the hot melt. Any help greatly appreciated.................Thanks Paul

I agree with Dave. Stay away from the hot glue in this instance. Trying to save time and money will cost you more in the long run. I use the flat stick on pads that hold nylon cable ties. these hold pretty good but I usually put a screw in them to make sure. If you leave the ties loose you can run all your wires. Later, if you want, you can tighten the ties to neaten things up. I also have a staple gun made for wires that works nice on single wires. The conduit bracket is a good idea or you can use the nylon clamps that are sold in any hardware store in the electrical department. Good luck with you project.

I use a conduit bracket shown below with a self drilling screw in one side only. Very easy to do with a good screwdriver / drill even under a layout.

This is exactly what I used, works great and many different sizes are available. I used these screws which are very easy to install with a screw driver or drill as AMCDave says above. Make sure to use the pointed screws and not the self drilling kind (self drilling ones are for metal, not wood).
