Judging from the cab deco, it looks like a military commemoration unit. Really like what appears to be a Burlington paintjob on the engine ahead of it, too.

It’s quite the interesting place, that’s for sure. I usually don’t share the paint job pics but this one was pretty neat I thought.

That reminds me of this one that I photographed in West Pelzer, SC some years back:
I took the photo on a Saturday and later found out that it has just left the paintshop the previous Tuesday or Wednesday.

There are well over 1000 locomotives here from varying vintages.
This one used to be a NS high hood long hood forward.

Mark; you are close! That’s the Patriot Rail logo on the long hood. Patriot is a short line holding company with 31 railroads including Fort Smith Railroad in Arkansas.
