From Menards' promo photos, there appears to be some sort of black thing going from the flat up to the center of the truck's undercarriage. I ask because I would be interested if I know that these can be kept in place while in movement on the track.

I believe it is 2 screws through the flatcar into the pick-up.

They've probably changed it since I got mine, but my only Menards flatcar load is a yellow flat car with a green menards truck equipped with lights.
There were no screws holding it to the flatcar; in my case, the black thing up the middle was the electrical cord powering the lights.
there were small glue pads under each tire; if the car sits on them for a little bit, they re-adhere just enough. I've never had any issue with a truck rolling off the car.
Thanks Bill & Carl. I think the current crop of trucks on flatbeds is different from the illuminated one Carl mentions as there is no electrical connection.
