How are you mounting "Woodland Scenics" O scale flag poles with lights to your layouts?

Just received the WS, US Flag pole w/spot light and noticed there is no mounting base included. No instructions or suggestions for mounting included. ALso, wondering if the LED bulb is resistor equipped for 12VDC 5MA operation. I think the resistors may only be in the Hub, which I do not have or want. So, I was hoping to hook up the leds pot light to my existing 12V DC system. I felt I didn't need the hub for just one single LED 3MM bulb'... Any thoughts appreciated'..
