Hopefully last question for a while. I have 2 separate ovals of Fast track. I have an older ZW. How do I hook the Legacy system to the fast track? Manual says use the black wire from the fastrack terminal. Do I need to then run a wire from Legacy to the ZW? Would love to run my TMCC on one loop tonight and conventional on the other. Legacy need to be hooked to both tracks?

It's important to remember that all you are trying to do is get the signal from the Legacy base to the Fastrack. Rather than connecting the black legacy base wire to the track itself, I connected the wire from the Legacy Base to the red "A" terminal on the back of my MRC Transformer and it has been working fine for three years. Since the transformer is already connected to the track, and the black legacy base wire is sharing the same post with the red power line that is connected to the track, the signal from the Legacy base simply travels down the Red power wire to the track.
Here's a pic of the legacy black wire sharing the post with the red power wire...
It IS that simple!
the above post is how my home layout has Legacy hooked up.
Does the red go to the outer rails?
Hook up your transformer as you would normally do. U or common to the outside rails and the A,B,C, or D to center. Then take the one wire from the command base and put it on the same U terminal as the outside rail.
Does the red go to the outer rails?
The red goes to the CENTER rail for power - the black goes to the outside rail for power return on Fastrack.
