How far apart? (Coaling tower)

On my new layout, I plan to have a pair of tracks serving an MTH coaling tower. My question, for those of you that have the tower, how many inches apart would the two tracks have to be from each other (inside to inside) for one track to be under the scoop/bucket, and the other to be under the actual tipple?
