I am sure this answer and many more are contained in the "O Gauge Companion" by Barry Broskowitz...but, frankly, I don't think I have time to look...so, will some one please answer the question???

Thanks for any kind replies...if you haven't all gone to York?

I record from my iPod to the TIU using the appropriate cable and remote...I have a 2:10 minute recorded song. No button pushes once the sound stops during recording, just be patient it will continue to record without any "button pushes." And that's over120 seconds! When the recording is over, save it, play it back (through any operating DCS train, regardless of the one used for the recording).

Wow...that's a lot of recording time and button presses.

Hi SD60M,

The limits on the DCS record/playback feature are fairly generous, but it's easier to bump up against the 500 press limit than you might think.  Each speed command counts as "press."  If you scroll up slowly and hit every speed step you will use up 10% of all the "presses" getting a parked train to 50 smph.  If you ever do run up against the limit you can save a LOT of presses by using the Quickset Speed feature and a high momentum setting (1 smph/sec).
