Bought from many and been very satisfied. In fact I would not have known were to get many items if it wasn't for the sponsors.

Yes, I feel the same way at least where the sponsor is a good source at a fair price, by which I mean a sponsor is the first place I look.

 

I'd like to say I have a layout designed and built by Smartt but I don't - someday maybe? 

I go out of my way to support Forum sponsors with my business. Most of my train purchases come from this resource. If it were not for them, we might have this wonderful OGR Forum.

Yes, from several of them. One had a wee bit of Dealing with People Skill problems but still provide very good service.

I try to do business with them. Seems to work okay except for some structures and go elsewhere then. Have been buying from one for over twenty years.

New purchases with Forum Sponsors only.  I have a favorite but have used many.

 

They generally have the best deals anyhow.

I have several times, there is no LHS under an hours drive for me, so all of my shopping is done online.

I don't go out of my way to support forum sponsors. Have I supported a good deal of them? Sure. All but one have been great experiences and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again with all but that one. I try to support my local guys first and foremost before supporting the "bigger" guys. My local guys are magazine advertisers but not forum sponsors. When buying, I generally go to my local guys first then to the store (sponsor or not, but they are often sponsors) that has the best service and price. 

There's no LHS under five hours in the air from me but it doesn't matter when I can call up  my dealer (Mr. Muffin) and order. Always a good price and friendly conversation. Because I scuba dive he's named me "Shark Bait". Don

While I have purchased from sponsors, I go to my LHS first, the forum Buy/Sell second, then the sponsors.

With the great job Alan has done securing so many sponsors for OGR, if you buy any train items how can you not?! 

I can't claim that OGR sponsors have been an exclusive source, or that I have purchased from all, but I can say that our sponsors are the cream of the crop. Thank you, sponsors, for supporting the Forum, it's much appreciated.

This year I purchased from a few ( 5 or6 ) FORUM SPONSORS.

 

Some I tried to buy from but did not get a reply or they would not quote me a a mailing charge.

 

These people are doing all of us a big favor by being sponsors and we all should try and buy from them.

Only when my LHS doesn't have what I want which is very seldom.  We have a good one here in Baltimore.

The sponsors are my preferred source for new trains and supplies.  I recently had a problem with one and will never shop there again, but aside from that one poor experience, years and years of buying trains from OGR sponsors has always ended well.

Just went to Mario's Trains in Winchester yesterday.  Great store!

Six or seven of the current sponsors.

I have bought from a number of the sponsors multiple times.  And, if I purchase on line and am asked how I found out about them, I always respond OGR.

I purchased several items from many of our current sponsors long before they became sponsors.  That being said I have continued to buy from them.

I buy almost everything from my LHS. When there is something I can't get from them, the next place I go is to a forum sponsor. I have purchased a few items from a few different forum sponsors. Most of those were items no longer in production from years past that my LHS did not have.

Spent way too much this year on "unanticipated" purchases at my favorite LHS, Henning's in Lansdale, PA.

I have bought from at least three of the forum sponsors. Had some great prices too.

 

Sometimes it pays to buy from an internet store, but look around first for the best price as some big manufacturers charge more.
